Rencontre avec VASU et VEERESAMMA / Meeting with VASU et VEERESAMMA

J'ai eu une réunion hier  avec Vasu et Veeresamma, les deux travailleurs sociaux avec lesquels je vais travailler en étroite collaboration pour dévelpper les Sangams de deux Mandals du district de Kurnool.

Il y a 76 villages à visiter et des dizaines de personnes handicapées à rencontrer pour parler de l'action de SACRED et créer ainsi des Sangams.

I had a meeting yesterday with Vasu and Veeresamma, the two social workers with whom I will work closely to develop the Sangams of two Mandals from the Kurnool district.

There are 76 villages to visit and dozens of disabled people to meet to talk about SACRED's work and create Sangams.

Nous avons également rencontré le Dr Ramesh à Kurnool. Dr Ramesh a un parcours atypique et exemplaire. Issu d'une tribu de l'Andhra Pradesh, atteint de Polio, il est devenu une autorité médicale connue et reconnue et préside une association de centaines de médecins.

Il nous a reçu dans son cabinet et souhaite colloborer avec SACRED pour nous aider dans notre action dans les deux Mandals.

C'est un homme d'une grande générosité, qui parle avec son coeur et qui pourra mobiliser des moyens humains et matériels importants pour aider SACRED.

Nous allons le mettre en contact avec le Dr Christophe de Suisse pour établir un premier contact et élaborer tous ensemble un agenda et des objectifs communs.

We also met Dr. Ramesh in Kurnool. Dr. Ramesh has an atypical and exemplary background. From a tribe in Andhra Pradesh, he contracted polio when he was a child and he has become a known and recognized medical authority and chairs an association of hundreds of doctors.

He received us in his office and wishes to cooperate with SACRED to help us in our action in both Mandals.

He is a man of great generosity, who speaks with his heart and who will be able to mobilize important human and material resources to help SACRED.

We will put him in contact with Dr Christoph from Switzerland to establish a first contact and develop a common agenda and objectives together.

Je retourne à Hyderabad pour quelques jours et je prendrai ensuite l'avion pour Trivendrum dans le sud du Kerala pour  assister à un groupe d'étude au CIMR (CENTRAL INSTITUTE ON MENTAL RETARDATION); LE CIMR  est une organisation bénévole de services sociaux, l'une des grandes ONG nationales en Inde qui œuvre pour le bien-être et la réhabilitation des personnes handicapées mentales.

J'irai ensuite à Mumbai pour quelques jours pour terminer les formalités administratives afin devalider mon visa  de travail auprès des autorités indiennes.

Je serai de retour à Thiggali début du mois d'août pour plusieurs semaines.

I am taking the bus this afternoon to Hyderabad and then flying to Trivendrum in South Kerala to attend a study group at CIMR (CENTRAL INSTITUTE ON MENTAL RETARDATION); CIMR is a voluntary social services organization, one of the leading national NGOs in India working for the well-being and rehabilitation of people with mental disabilities.

I will then go to Mumbai for a few days to complete the administrative formalities in order to validate my work visa with the Indian authorities.

I will be back in Thuggali at the beginning of August for several weeks.
